I know I said I was going to do another--what the kids were doing while I revised blog--but then I got these lovely cover proofs from Earthly Charms for the ebook cover of Masquerade--which I'm in the process of rewriting for the national market. Hopefully it will be released in a month or two (depending on how much time I have since Putnam and Feiwel will both send revisions to me on other novels soon).
So which cover do you think works for a romantic comedy? Also, let me know if you actually like to read romances. (One of the interesting things I've found is that people who don't like to read romances prefer the middle cover. But the thing is--if they like it because it doesn't seem 'romancy' then maybe it's not the best cover since romance readers are my target audience.) So yeah, let me know if you actually read romances.
Thanks!

The middle one best. The green is gorgeous! I like romances. Well, most of them.
And if I had a second choice it would be the third one.
I LOVE the green cover.
oh, and I don't usually read "romance" novels, but I enjoy clean, romantic comedies :)
I occasionally read romances and I've read Masquerade in it's previous incarnation. I love the green cover for it. It's fun and striking.
I love any genre. I do love to read romances because everyone loves a good HEA. I love the first and second covers, but the first being my choice. Love the mix of the read and green.
I read TONS of romantic comedies (I've read Masquerade a few times, in fact) and I think I like the middle cover best, although the one on the far right is a close runner up. I debated between the two for a few minutes trying to decide.
I love and own a copy of Masquerade. Excited to read the new one.
Love the far right cover. It seems very romantic and mysterious.
I like the third cover (far right). It just seems the most mysterious - the green has a little bit of a sci-fi connotation in my mind. Yes, I do read a little bit of clean romance.
The green cover is gorgeous! It pops out to me and is stunning without complicated details~ lovelovelove!
Oops! I forgot to answer the second part, lol. I love romance novels. :) But~ I'm a bit genre hopper. I think the 3rd cover probably has the common romance cover feel the most~ but the second one is my favorite and I'd definitely pick it up over the 3rd cover which might get lost in looking like a lot of the covers surrounding it.
I really like the middle one. At first, I thought the last one was Venom by Fiona Paul. It has a very similar cover=)
I LOVE to read clean romances! My favorite is the middle one. I love the green, and I like that the mask shows more of her face. My next choice would be the one on the left because I love the red hair. I don't like the background or the mask as much though. The cover on the right is my last choice because the mask covers too much of her face. It makes me think she talks with a stuffy nose. Is it weird for me to think that? Hahaha yes I think so.
But if the book has your name on it, I'll be reading it no matter what the cover looks like. :) Good luck with the choosing.
I like the middle one best... and I do like romances too!
I also think cover 3 looks alot like the Taker by Alma Katsu. Still love #2=)
I love the last one with the girl with the red feather. Why? Because it just makes her look mysterious and desirable. And just awesome. Masquerades are supposed to make you look like that and I think the other two don't hide her face enough.
And I never ever ever read (or if I do, I never enjoy...) anything but romances. Definitely not the raunchy ones where they do IT on every page. But the cute, clean ones. Your books are the perfect example of what I'm talking about, except there are some where just a tiny tiny tad more SPICE would be great. Which is why I love you and your books.
love the middle one! the first one would be my second choice, because i like the look on her face.
I do like to read romance novels quite a bit, as long as they are clean.
In order of favorites, mine are 2, 3, 1. They are all very pretty!
I love romances! My least favorite is actually the green one. My favorite is the 3rd one - it has a romantic feel to it.
