Slayers Book Launch

Come find out what dragon-fighting superpower you have (Oh, you know you have one. You've all slayed plenty of dragons) at CJ's book launch for Slayers

Tuesday, Oct 4 at 7:00 pm
Changing Hands Bookstore

Dragons exist. They're ferocious. And they're smart: Before they were killed off by slayer-knights, they rendered a select group of eggs dormant, so their offspring would survive. Only a handful of people know about this, let alone believe it – these "Slayers" are descended from the original knights, and are now a diverse group of teens that includes Tori, a socialite senator's daughter who didn't sign up to save the world.

Woohoo! I'm so excited to be follower #2. I'm using firefox and the background is brown with a map at the top. I don't see you in the background.

I'm using Safari and the background is brown (same as the above commenter).

by the mouths of two or three witnesses. I see a brown background with an old world style map at the top. And that's using firefox

I'm using Chrome and the background here is brown--the background on http://www.cjhillbooks.com/ is green (very cool). You're wearing a black shirt and blue jeans in the picture, but (unless I'm guessing wrong), your jacket is gray and tan vertical stripes.

On regular internet explorer the website's background is black. The blog is brown.
So excited :)

The background on the website looks black (or dark gray on my monitor) -- the blog background here is brown. In the picture on the web site, I think you're wearing jeans with a black shirt and green/gray jacket.

Your website background is green, but I use Chrome. And the blog background is brown. I can't for the life of me make you out in that picture and I know what you look like, so I'm out of luck on that picture. Fingers crossed for winning the ARC!

it's brown with a map. However I am so excited to see your new book coming out. Don't worry about me entering the contest. If you pull my name go for a second round and get someone else's. I'm preordering it now :). I still need you to sign My Fair Godmother. You rock a million different ways.

I'm using Firefox, and the background for the blog page is brown, but the homepage is green.

Also, I totally found you in the picture--it's so obvious! You're wearing your cloak of invisibility. Which means that you should be safe from evil wizards, Death, and probably even baby dragons.

Jeanna said...

Of course, that also means that unfortunately I couldn't tell what color your sweater was (since it was invisible and all), but I'm guessing black.

Yay it works now! The background here looks brown and the background on the website looks green. I am using firefox.

I thought you were wearing all black, but now I'm now so sure that's you :)

I'd love to win a copy. I usually pass on books to my daughter's sixth grade English class library, so the book could go out into the world to spread your fame. I couldn't get on the website, so I can't say from experience what you are wearing. Note that I did not cheat and copy what someone else said. I wish I could be at the book launch.

I love dragons! And your books...:o) You should see my dragon collection. I would LOVE a copy of your book! My teens would probably eat it up too. I feel for you on the book marketing thing. It's like sending your children (or like sending dragon eggs) out into the world, isn't it? We hope our 'children' spawn millions of babies.

Hey, I tried to follow this blog but clicking on the followers button did nothing.

I see a brown background with globe on it. No pic of you--just the fantastic book cover and blurb. I have Firefox as well.

I knew where to look, but couldn't zoom in close enough. Is that you in front of the 4th column from the right? Dark shirt, sort of stripey jacket? E for effort, right? Because I had to go to your other blog to see your picture first. After reading your post about pen names, maybe I shouldn't keep telling people how I made mine from my real name in ANWA. Hilarious post. Yes, I want to read your book before it comes out. I do, I do! See me drool?

I think you're sportin' a 3/4 sleeve pink shirt somewhere West of Africa. You look great!!! Congrats on the book! Sounds awesome!

Karen Adair said...

Oh my goodness, how silly of me. I read a previous note that said tell you what I see where the author's picture should be. I thought you were teasing us. Hahaha. Sorry. I see a stylin' world map on a brown background. Very cool.

Jessie Clark said...

Okay, the blog background is brown, on the homepage it's gray to me. You sweater may or may not be green. You could have at least stood in the foreground of the picture! You are at the Jefferson Memorial though-I think you're right in front of one of the columns. Can't wait for Slayers.

CJ Hill said...

To see the home page you can type in CJHillbooks.com--but hopefully we'll get that home button working. And hopefully I'll be able to comment on my own blog. Last time I tried, I couldn't.
What's up with that, blogger?

Melinda said...

Pick me! Or I'll just buy your book anyway. You're my favorite author, besides Janette Rallison.
